A Windows PC-based or standalone character generator with text messages is the around-the-clock default programming, similar to a hotel info channel. Lettering can be big, bright and easy for residents to read. Text pages can rotate continuously or be programmed to play on certain days of the week. Compared to handwritten marker boards and hard-to-read photocopies, using the TV for changing information is the 21st century solution.
